World Cup kicked my ass

By now, I should be one of World Cup's biggest fans and going bonkers every four years. If you know me, you know that I love anything Latin from the music, the food, the art, THE MEN and anything else in it's culture. It's just beautiful to me, but seriously, it's like loving them from afar. I've never seen a single World Cup game my whole life until this year, and I don't even know any Spanish beyond, "hola, como estas". Please forgive me.

Going into the whole World Cup craziness, all I knew was that there were boys, booze, parties, food, and um ...... boys. I was sold! This past Sunday were the finals at Dolores Park and it was amazing. I guess I could lie and say I watched the whole game, but really, I just stuffed my face, spoiled my liver and took pictures.

Our view from "Gay Terrace". It had to be at least 80 degrees out there!

Bumped into my old friend Greg who added even more gayness to our "gay terrace". He fed us with pretty cheeses and breads and sparkling water and the puff puff pass. A superb host!

Clark. He's crazy.

WINNERS!

After the game, we went and met up with the ABC Crew sans eDONe, to say hello and give Alicia and Patty Cakes a chance to do whatever it is they do. Nerds.

Sweaty, sticky and drunk by noon, we went back to my spot and changed, then headed right back out for some ...

... and this is how we ended our day of victory, followed by two or three more. YUMMY!

*PLEASE NOTE* Do not make any phone calls to anyone of importance when you've had this much "fun". You're only going to embarress yourself like, I ummm, did.

GOOD MORNING!

I always start my Monday mornings feeling fresh and renewed, ready for the upcoming week and all it's possiblities. I head out every morning with a burst of optimism and jolt of niccotine and think to myself, "maybe things will be different". My outlook could be derived from either a great past weekend or my double-vanilla-soy-no-foam-extra-hot-grande latte, but either way- I'm posting some shizzz. This past weekend was fantasticly hot and fun filled. I'm super lolly gag status when it comes to posting photos, but they'll defs be up soon enough. For now, I'm just posting some things that ... I like. Period. BUT! Keep coming back, for in the next 24 to 48hrs, photos will be up.

I <3 Latin boys

Seriously, I do ....

I'm hella excited about Friday's SF opening for "Wassup Rockers". It seems like it's been forever since I found out about this movie and now it's finally here. For those of you who don't know, the movie comes from "Kids" director Larry Clark. He was doing a photo spread for an magazine out in LA a while back, and came across a young group of Latino skaters who absolutely did not fit the description of thier fellow East LA peers. Unlike thier gang-bangin nieghbors, these guys live everyday/all day for skating, punk music and just trying to make it through the day without getting caught up. Anyway, Larry Clark was so intrigued by these kids, he started following them around LA, predominantly Beverly Hills, and just shot photos of them skating. Eventually, he came at them with a movie idea and the rest is history. The boys in the film aren't actors, but are given a script to follow or at least try to, but if improvisation was necessary, then Larry was open to it. All they had to do was remain on the storyline while staying themselves.

This piece has gotten rave reviews and it'll FINALLY open in Frisco this Friday! Make sure you check it out!
